During the manufacturing process, each Lefty Kreh TiCrX rod goes through a multi-step, proprietary coating process that is applied to the entire rod blank. This coating benefits both the performance and longevity of the rod. In the first instance, the coating dampens shock (i.e. Tip Bounce) which helps to deliver long, smooth, and above all, very precise casts. Secondly, the coating creates a hardened finish along the entire rod blank which protects the embedded graphite and reduces the potential for damage from errant flies and other shocks that might weaken a rod and cause it to break.
