Temple Fork Outfitters™ Lifetime Rod Warranty and Rod Part Service
We warranty our rods against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the rod. We test 100% of our fishing rods before they leave the factory, ensuring that rod breakage due to manufacturing defects rarely occurs. If you believe your rod broke because of a defect, please refer to Tom Kirkman’s article, Rod Failure (Rod Maker Magazine). If, after learning more about rod failure, you believe you have a defective rod, please download the Rod Service Form here. Fill in your contact information and rod details. Mail or bring the completed form and your entire rod to our Calgary warehouse.
Once we receive your request, we will contact you with our evaluation.
This warranty does not cover shipping damage, breakage caused by neglect, misuse, or accident, unnecessary human force or incorrect assembly, improper maintenance or modifications, normal wear and tear caused by long-term use, loss or theft.
Our lifetime rod warranty applies to the original registered owner. We will contact you with alternative options if we no longer have the appropriate parts to service your TFO rod. TFO Canada reserves the right to process rod service requests on unregistered or second-owner rods.
TFO Canada does not offer warranty or broken rod service for TFO blanks, custom-built rods, or TFO rods not distributed by TFO Canada.
TFO rod warranty is limited to 60 days for commercial/guide use.
Purchasing Rod Parts
Should a TFO rod break or become damaged due to typical wear and tear, accidents, or broken guides, no problem. For a fee, we provide a thorough and timely rod section replacement service. You can also purchase spare back-up rod sections for travel.
Replacement rod sections are charged at the listed price per section, with a $35.00 shipping and handling fee plus applicable taxes. Replacement rod parts do not qualify for free shipping on orders over $150.00.
If indicated, the Canada Post oversize fee of $21.00 applies to any shipment exceeding 100 cm in length.
Rod parts replaced and picked up at our Calgary warehouse are not charged for shipping, handling, or oversized fees.
TFO is not responsible for rod parts ordered incorrectly—no returns or exchanges on rod parts.
Discounts do not apply to rod parts. Orders for replacement parts cannot be combined with purchases made on the retail website.

You are welcome to bring your entire damaged rod to our office to have it serviced on-site (this usually takes approximately 10 minutes). The service fee per damaged section, plus taxes, still applies to walk-in service requests. Click here for a map to our office.
